June 7
A big day. Today we moved to a bigger rehearsal room, and combined the two parts of the band that had been rehearsing separately.

Since February, the three drummers have been getting together, and this past week marked the second time I'd come to Jakko's home studio to rehearse with him (this time joined by Robert and Mel.)

So now we start putting together those pieces, we discover what the others have been up to, and we make plans for what needs to be addressed next.

The drummers had already set up when I arrived, and were waiting for our first soundcheck

Perhaps I should identify the players for those who don't know them

This is Mel Collins

Bill Rieflin

That's Ben, helping us set up today

Pat Mastelotto

Gavin Harrison

Jakko Jakszyk

Robert Fripp - well, he was on a break when I was taking pictures... Here are his pedals

and I don't know where I was, but here's my Stick, bass and funk fingers!

I see, from Robert's DGM site, that the tour has a name, and a very cool graphic logo:

(Wow, I'm an element... Lv! I can only hope I'm a metaloid and not just a noble gas!)

At the end of the day, Robert convened us for a picture on this somewhat historic day - the first full assembly of the new King Crimson lineup

The music is already shaping up to be something special.

And, as you can tell from this, we are having fun!
