         The RealWorld Studio taping

A small audience of fans had been invited to this show. Originally intended as a webcast, it ended up being a live show, taped for possible future re-broadcast.

RealWorld Studio is a unique place - built on a former mill, it's got the stream running under the studios and the pond has ducks and swans living on it. A beautiful place to work, or to visit. This show will be pretty special for the fans who've got tickets.

I'd done many recordings and rehearsals there in the past, with Peter and with others, and as I took the first photo at the afternoon rehearsal in the large main studio, I was reminded of shots I have of King Crimson there in the same place in 1994 (I've been going through those old Crimson photos lately, organizing them for a book.)

The swans came over to listen to the rehearsal, as they often do. This one tried singing along at times. Couldn't tell through the glass whether he was in tune!

They had set up Ged's drums in a small room off the main one. Most people would only be seeing him by the video monitor above the door.

We rehearsed a number of songs, but Peter decided we'd also take requests from the audience for what they'd like to hear, so there was no telling what we might take a stab at playing.

As in the big arena show, we each have two small bright lights at our feet, aimed up at us.
Ever wonder what it's like looking down into those lights?

It was a great night - memorable for all.
