The tour started off in Salt Lake City where we had a few days rehearsing at HardLine Studio. Then, for an intimate opportunity, we put on two shows right there in the studio.

But first, we had days of rehearsing, drinking coffee, and learning new material for the upcoming studio album we'll be recording in Austin at the end of this tour.

There for the shows, as he had been for previous gigs of the Trio, was Pat of "Pat's BBQ." He is an award winning chef, and has an amazing portable rig which he can park outside a venue and feed the whole audience. (I think he also takes it to BBQ competitions, where he regularly wins prizes.) Those who came to see the group were as pleased as we were once they smelled, then tasted his excellent work!

The cast of characters is almost the same as in our February tour: Paul Richards, Hideyo Moriya and Bert Lams make up the California Guitar Trio. Pat Mastelotto, of King Crimson, is playing drums and I'm playing bass and some Stick.
Also along this time, doing the sound, is Bill Munyon. Bill has been taking care of Pat's drums on the King Crimson tour (currently on a break - they both flew in from Mexico City) and Bill and Pat together are the group BPM&M, which just released the techno CD "ExtraKcts & ArtifaKcts" on my Papa Bear label. Ironically I hadn't met Bill in person until this week. (Shown here with hair, but today he showed up as bald as... well, bald! I'll get another photo soon.)

Way too full on this page! We'll start another page of tour photos. Link below.
