July 12, Garana, Romania
We had a few days off before playing at the Woodstock-type festival here, and spent the first one in Milan.
I hadn't realized how close the Alps are to Milan, but there they were, from my hotel window
The next day found us in transit again...
After a few flights and quite a long drive, we settled into a nice inn, up in the mountains of Romania, not too far from where the festival will be.
A day off, with a lot of rain, but luckily the weather cleared up for the night of our show
No soundchecks at this kind of festival - you just set up right after the act before you ends.
As often, there were some issues with Adrians guitar rig (as the audience looked on)
Then Markus started us off
After, backstage, Robert gives us a demonstration of the latest in sound engineer headgear
And, about 3am, we made it back to the hotel.
Next morning, a few flights back to Italy for more shows there.
More soon
