July 16, Boston
I love being in Boston. This venue, though it's been here awhile, is one I hadn't been to before - right down on the Boston harbor, with fish and lobster
restaurants all around.
At the backstage dinner, the mac & cheese has lobster in it ... how Boston is that!
Backstage we examine a collection of other bands' setlists
Our drummers, perhaps saying, "you hold it like this... and then you find something to hit with it, and make a big noise."
>
As usual with opening acts, less people in their seats when we start our show than when we finish it
July 17, New York
Playing at the Beekman Beer Garden, down at the south tip of Manhattan - and it's hot today.
Last night's Boston show was at the harbor... but this venue is right on the pier
This show is just The Crimson ProjeKct, so we don't have to wait to load in... right onto the stage, which is barely big enough for the six of us
Parked the van in front of the Fulton Fish Market ... very glad it's closed today!
Interesting to have a band opening for us this time!
They were called Consider the Source, and were very good.
Now it's Stick Men's turn
Then Adrian's trio
As their set ends, Pat jumps up to start B'Boom, and the joint set of Crimson music
which goes down very well!
Great. But, whew, this was a hot one!
Wonderful time here tonight - hope we get to come back some time
