Here at 'The Egg', in Albany -- it's the venue where we'll start off the tour on Tuesday. But we loaded in Saturday night, and have two days of
production rehearsals to get used to the stage setup and our concert sound system.
In case you couldn't tell from the photo at the top, the shape of this venue is pretty out of the ordinary
Arriving for our rehearsal, I'm having deja vu...
so I dug out my pic of us in an elevator back in June, doing promo pics for the tour...
Back to the present time... it's a lovely venue inside
Because we're here rehearsing a couple of days, let me show what's outside the venue...
Albany's the state capitol, and the Capitol building is pretty cool looking
though, as you'll have noticed before on my blogs, I enjoy putting a bit more mood into my location pictures than they might have in reality...
(perhaps there was some ominious legistlation going on inside today!)
Because I live somewhat near Albany, I'm well aware of a local treasure equal to the Capitol... you just don't come here without heading over to Delaware Avenue and Andy's & Sons Deli for a sub with some of their aged provolone!

Monday night: after rehearsing, we have a full show runthrough, with friends and family in the audience.
Leaving hotel with my suitbag, a look in the mirror...
Show was excellent -- can't wait for tomorrow night and, finally, the start of our tour.
