These next few photos need a bit of explanation.
On the way to our gig in Karlsruhe we stopped in the town of Heilbraun, the home of Beyerdynamic Microphones. There we had a tour and presentation of a mic I had ordered - one of their new custom designed ones.

Inside it's a standard M88, but they now give you options of how it looks, (naming it "My88") including engraving a short audio file on the mic! I think most people will record their name for it, but I chose a short clip I have of John Lennon saying "That's a lovely bass" ... so, as you can imagine, it'll be a special mic to me, and it was a fun afternoon there.
