The hard touring trio is: Tony Levin on Chapman Stick and voice, Pat Mastelotto on acoustic and electronic drums, Markus Reuter on 8 and 10 string Touch Guitar, and live electronics.
The new material includes a 10 minute tone poem about the Whale Watch adventure, hard hitting progressive rock compositions, (Hide the Trees and On/Off), melodic pieces Sepia and Crack in the Sky, and uptempo Nude Ascending Staircase.

2.0 - L'Image (CD)
Very few groups have ever followed this trajectory: L'Image formed in Woodstock, in the mid 1970's, when Steve Gadd and Tony Levin moved there to join Mike Mainieri and Warren Bernhardt, rehearsing and writing in Mike's barn for six months.
The band then did live gigs, often joined by David Spinozza on guitar, but, though record deals were offered, other musical forces pulled the musicians in different directions (Steve joining Stuff, Mike forming the seminal jazz group Steps, Tony going out with Paul Simon and Peter Gabriel, Warren and David recording numerous solo albums.)
The group never recorded that first album... until recently - reconvening in the Woodstock area the group made their first official release, perversely titling it 2.0
The CD will soon be distributed through a number of channels, but currently here at Papabear is about the only place to obtain the CD. Enjoy.
