Sept 15 - Boston
First of all, I've added a few more pictures on the previous page, from the second show in Philadelphia.
Here in Boston, I'm thrilled, as always, to return to the city I was born in and grew up in.
In Copley Square, a visit to the Boston Public Library where I used to work in the music department after school.
Nearby is the distinctive John Hancock Tower
There's the church where, long ago, I lugged my upright bass to audition for the Eastman School of Music, whose admissions director was visiting Boston to audition
potential students
I recall now how my parents had urged that I enter as a 'music education' major, and though I had no interest in teaching, I went along with that. The
admissions director, lucky for me, told me that I'd played really well and they would accept me only as an 'applied music' major. Brings to mind how sometimes the right advice, early in your
life, can really be influential on your path.
At the Colonlal Theater, where we'll play two nights
Fripp & Levin... dressed and ready to rock
Next day - second show here -- some more shots of before the show:
Maybe we look more like a law firm?
(Fripp & Levin... we specialize in prog malpractice!)
Not much time to write how great the shows and audiences were... they were great.
Now on to New York.
