Kiev
Just a few days before we were to play Kiev, the show was cancelled.
It was sad news because, although I knew there was some likelihood of cancellation, I really like the country, and the city, and it'd be great to get there
to share our music, to meet with some of the people I know there and hear how things are for them.
Part of the connection for me is that my mother and grandparents were born in the Ukraine.
And, just last March, we had a cancellation of our Crimson ProjeKct show in Kiev, so this is a repeat of that disappointment.
Anyway, as a token of how I wish I was there, here are some of my favorite shots I've taken in Kiev on previous visits. I think you'll agree, the city is very special.

Beautiful as Kiev is, I'd like to include some pictures of the Ukrainian village my mother came from.
It's called Ostropolya or Ostropil, and it's as far a cry from Kiev as you can get.
These are from when I visited there in 2010 -- (not in 1910, as it appears!)
And yes, the soundtrack to Fiddler on the Roof would fit well right now...
Okay, on that note, let's move back... to the Back to Front tour, with our next show in Lodz, Poland (coming soon.)
