July 2, we fly to Poland for tomorrow's show at a festival in Warsaw.
Great to be back in Poland - I've gone there with increasing frequency in the past few years, with different projects.
And for Stick Men it has special resonance because our first touring was here, a few years ago.
Notable about this show: the band TU is on the bill - that's our drummer Pat Mastelotto, with Warr Guitar player Trey Gunn (our King
Crimson buddy) ... so not only will Pat be doing a double show, but we've arrange a couple of encores with Trey.
First order of business, though, is a walk around Warsaw and a great lunch!
I'd like to say we were discussing who would take Robert's part if we played Thela Hun Ginjeet...
I know I have uploaded many photos before from my walks around the old city in Warsaw, but can't resist a few more...
Okay, beautiful, isn't it - it's a great place, we were lucky to have great weather today, and ... and afternoon off!
July 3, it's show-day, and the venue is beautiful.
Here's a shot from the TU show:
And, the audience, from our set:
Here's the bow - including Trey (We'd just done Indiscipline and Thela, a couple of Crimson pieces, together.
Well, with that footwear closeup, we've finished the first leg of our Summer tour.
Home now, for 9 days, then back to Italy and the Canary Islands for more shows.
More coming soon!
