July 14 - Flying back to Italy for the second leg of our Summer tour.
Alas, we have to do a layover in Warsaw airport (to save money on plane tix) so we have another morning and afternoon in the airport there.
(This time, I don't have the fun of choosing Polish vodkas to bring home, because we're at the start of a leg, not the end.
Finally arrived in Milan (my luggage made it this time, thank goodness!) and drove to Misinto for tomorrow's show.
Good to see the familiar van that'll be our companion again on this tour.
The show is at the Festa della Birri di Misinto - easy to drive the van right to the stage for load-in
Beautiful evening for a show
Back in the van, headed for Castellarano
The venue, called Rockville, is one I haven't played before.
On arrival, a sight we often see... though the band is supposed to be billed as "Stick Men", with our names equal, if there ... sometimes
the billing gets done differently!
I'll try not to mention this too much on these pages, but... it's hot here this Summer!
Aaahhhh...
Next day, at hotel ready to leave for Napoli
Something I never thought I'd see in Italy....
... or anywhere! A machine dispensing pizza
Long drive to the Naples area - a city called Afragola, whose festival is called Afraka Rock.
Whoops, wrong billing again. Anyway, the band we're opening for, Osanna, are friends, and it's fun being there ontime to see their soundcheck.
It's another outdoor show - dressing rooms are in an elementary school... can you tell?
Backstage food was delivered pizza. That's not usually what you want to have, but here in the Naples area, the rules are different because it's known for the
worlds best pizza.
The next morning, a big bravo to Francisco for successfully getting our van in and out of the very narrow area behind our hotel
Well, we have a couple of days off coming up, and in an unusual place... so maybe it's time to start another page.
