May 16th, we're here for our show in Oberhausen.
A couple hours free in the morning seemed really special after being on the run for so many days.
May 19, and, finally here is the page about our Hamburg show.
This was one of those days that sometimes happen on the road - nothing went right but the show.
Four hours or so to drive to Hamburg, but the hotel insisted they had no reservations for us. After quite awhile trying to convince them otherwise (and
they tried to book us elsewhere, but all hotels in town are full) we gave up, took our suitcases out of the lobby and went to the venue early.
Nice place - called Fabrik -
and our suitcases filled the backstage area. Still pretty tired from all the shows on this tour leg, some of us took advantage
of the couches - not as good as a hotel bed, but we didn't know what would await us after the show.
Ever wondering what the road is like... these pics give an idea of it!
This one too.
Once the show started, we remembered, as always, why we do this! Great fun.
With the audience above and on all sides, a couple of photos aren't enough to show who was there.
So, after the show, back to that hotel (our promoters had talked them into letting us having a few rooms for what remained of the night) and, at 2:30am we set about
re-packing our bags (guitar pedals inside the suitcases for the flight home) and 6am saw us leaving for the airport, the flight home, and the end of a fantastic
fun-filled (EVERYTHING-filled) tour around Europe.
We'll come back for more touring here, if we can, in the Fall or Winter. And we'd like to hit more places too.
But now, there are more pages coming up, because there are more shows - starting with Montreal next week!
