Changed pages to a yellow background for the Summer!

May 27, headed for Montreal after what felt like only a few hours off!
(Really it was a week, but oh, those things that hit you when you come home after being away!

Rented our vans and tried to remember our packing techniques!

Then we headed north, and soon found ourselves stuck in a big backup at the Canadian border. To make things worse (a lot worse) somebody ran into the back of one of our vans while we were stopped in traffic - luckily the back door would still open, but only just... and this isn't a fun way to start the Canada leg of our tour.

More hours at immigration, some payments, and we finally got to Cafe Campus, the club, quite late for soundcheck - there were already people lined up outside to come into the show! (I spent some time chatting with them as the drums pounded for the start of soundcheck.)

Maybe because of the hectic day, for the first time on the tour I forgot to bring my camera onstage - so here's an audience shot that Pete took.

It was a really enthusiastic crowd, packed venue, and so good to be back in Quebec. (I've played here often, with all the progressive groups I've toured with, and also with Quebec singer Kevin Parent - somewhere in my webpage archives are lots of photos of those tours.)

But morning came quickly, and with it the long drive to Toronto in our vans.
Happy this time not to be doing it in the snow!

Had the camera this time!

The next day, only a short drive, to Hamilton - we hadn't played here before, and were surprised and thrilled to see the enthusiasm we were greeted with.

Some trouble with the sound system cutting out, so I didn't get as many photos as I'd like to, but you can see, it was an exciting night for us all.

Next show is in New Haven - and I haven't got those photos loaded in yet - more soon!
