June 11
We've been rehearsing in a studio room at the Elstree movie studios outside London.
The music is coming along well, but today has been set aside for a photo session with the band - a necessity for publicity, tour programs and things like that.
First, here are some random shots from the last few days of rehearsals
Why so many pictures of the drummers, you ask? Because they're always doing stuff!
Here's some of my music... usually I write down notes for my charts of songs, but the Crimson pieces get so complex, it helps me to give names to sections, and
still need a map of when each section occurs (and whether it may be backwards.)
Back to today's action: and we've come prepared to look our best.
Scarlet Page is our photographer
but I'm free to grab shots while I'm not required to pose
The drummers... she's thinking, 'boy, I have my work cut out for me here'
She's right!
But sometimes they do look civilized
More scenes from around the studio:
including some that'd be pretty hard to explain
and so...
I'll wrap up this lengthy page about our photo shoot. Scarlet's pictures will probably come out before our September tour, and now you've seen the behind the scenes version.
A couple more days rehearsing and then we'll break until July. But I'll probably get another page up by the weekend.
