KARLSRUHE and ZURICH

May 23, Karlsruhe

A classic road visit to what's probably a very pretty city - we flew in, went right to the show, and sometime after midnight, checked into a hotel near the train station, handy for leaving in the morning. So I'll wait for another visit to actually see what Karlsruhe looks like!

I see Michele is still using an old setlist, modifying it when needed.

Peter's introduction of all the crew has become a high point in the show. And it's accompanied by video from understage which is increasingly ... interestingly staged! I'd photograph it every night, but the light is low on the hanging screens where it's seen. Tonight was a bit luckier.

I was also able to get a shot of the signs being held up during Games Without Frontiers - something I've been trying to catch for a while.

Perhaps that rates some close-ups.

May 24, Zurich

A fun train trip, and we find ourselves staying in the beautiful old part of Zurich.

I took a few less photos tonight - but did catch Ged and David being fitted for new in-ear monitors:

We're doing Biko now, as an encore, and we leave the stage one at a time, ending with only Ged playing drums alone to a whole arena full of people!

Day after, we had the day off - went for a band lunch up in the mountains - very nice, of course!
